Our Publishing & Content Business is centered on three core companies: Mitto Meruhen-sha, Oizumi Shoten Co., Ltd., and Tokyo Shoten Co., Ltd.

Oizumi Shoten Co., Ltd. has operated a publishing business for many years, primarily focused on practical books and children’s books. The company plans and produces titles across a broad range of lifestyle, hobby, and educational categories. Since its founding, it has built a stable content supply base by leveraging its editorial expertise in the practical book segment and producing numerous long-selling titles.

Tokyo Shoten Co., Ltd. is engaged in publishing children’s books and practical books while promoting content development for a diverse readership. Through themes and product development aligned with market demand, the company continues to expand its publishing lineup.

Mitto Meruhen-sha is responsible for planning and production functions within the publishing and content field, contributing to the strengthening of the Group’s overall content development capabilities and the creation of new business areas. With a flexible approach that also considers digital media and multi-platform deployment, the company enhances responsiveness to changing market environments.

Through collaboration among these three companies, we have established an integrated structure covering planning, editing, production, and distribution, thereby maximizing the value of content centered on books. In addition, by leveraging synergies with the Group’s retail and e-commerce businesses, we are diversifying sales channels, expanding customer touchpoints, and strengthening a sustainable revenue base.
